Many entrepreneurs are not getting enough sleep. This is partly due to the hustle culture of entrepreneurship and partly because they tend to bootstrap their business, even when they can afford to hire or outsource. I work with female entrepreneurs who identify with ADHD traits, and I can say with full confidence that very few of them are getting the kind of sleep that they know they should (and wish they could.)
This is our first guest expert interview, with sleep psychologist Yishan Xu, PhD, a Stanford trained expert in behavioral sleep psychology. She is the host of two podcasts, Deep Into Sleep and Ask Yishan, a Mandarin language podcast. Dr. Xu also hosts a YouTube channel. And, if that wasn’t enough, she’s a successful entrepreneur with a group practice in California that has more than 10 clinicians.
